not sure I quite understand your question. It sounds like you are trying to add an indicator to your website that shows how many different IPs are connected to your game server? If your game server is on a VPS or dedicated server, you should be able to do that without any issues. If its a shared hosting account, it would only work if you can query your host for real-time connection statistics. Also beware that sometimes multiple players connect from the same IP so the count may be off slightly.

The Founding Fathers thought that standing Armies were a threat because up until then, Armies had only been used to conquer. They we generally the peasants or indentured servants that would do what ever they were told regardless of cause or effect. military is primarily for defense (Iraq and Afghanistan, while we were the invading force, it was done for defensive purposes). And we are much more educated. We are sworn not to follow the president or a king, but the constitution, so if the government violates the constitution, we would be just as much a threat to said government as domestic or foreign enemies.

And yes to remain proficient in military task, equipment and drills we do need to have a standing army, or any two bit dictator would be able to roll right over us.

My experience with them has been bad. I tried some auctions for bid packages and used the Buy Now option to buy some of the ones made several bids for but lost. The Buy Now feature seemed a good idea so the next auction I tried was a Amazon voucher for £15. I bid up to £15 then dropped out assuming I could Buy Now as it had clearly said "Buy Now £15" as of the description of the item. However, I could find no way to complete the buy now. After making enquiries I was told that Buy Now was not available on vouchers and visas. read all the Buy Now rules and there was no mention of it. As the web site clearly shows "Buy Now" under every item it seems obvious to say it is not available is a scam. I asked for my bids back and they repeatedly refused.

If you are thinking of using the site, The rules are not clearly defined. They can make up rules on the spot and there is nothing you can do. How can you use a site that does not define the rules and you only find out after you have lost your money. Their rules say "You never have to walk away empty handed from Buy Now auctions." which clearly is not true. In fact, they sent me an email of several other restrictions of what is possible with Buy Now none of which are defined on the website. E.g. "If you elect to buy Merchandise directly by selecting the “Buy Now” option you are making an offer to us to purchase the Merchandise. No contract for the purchase of Merchandise will come into existence until we have reviewed and accepted your order. We may decline an order where we believe that we have reasonable grounds for doing so. We will notify you whether we have accepted or declined your order as soon as we are able to do so." I interpret that as saying they can do whatever they like.
